Not Vegetation

T/N: The title literally translates to “people are not vegetation”, meaning people have feelings even if grass and trees do not. This also ties into the Buddhist philosophy of letting go of everything in the mortal world to achieve Enlightenment.

English Translations:
Still haven’t given up
That heart-stopping feeling
That he leaves me.
Still haven’t matured
To not feel anything for the past.

I’d rather step into this mortal world for him,
Be someone who feels pain.
For those spring-like eyes,
I am willing to be more sensitive than dried grass.

Still haven’t put down,
I can only pick it up
And learn from my greed.
Still haven’t numbed to
Only want to be full.

I know waking has its hours,
But it’s not too late to let go.
Before I become Enlightened,
Let me be a fool once.

The heart is gray, but not broken.
The heart is dead, but still drunk.
It’s not easy for people to fall out of love and embrace the burden.
I don’t believe that having is the same as losing,
Coldly asking the world who is he?

I can’t keep going down,
But I can keep being lost.
Why must we cling to clarity as we go to sleep?
Let my flesh chase satisfaction,
Reverently continue making mistakes.
My conscious is clean.

Still haven’t seen clearly.
I can only see
My stubborn heart.
Still haven’t understood
Missing each other is also a kind of fate.

We’ll become strangers sooner or later.
It’s too tiring just to be polite.
But when I’m too passionate,
I’m very excited.

The heart is gray, but not broken.
The heart is dead, but still drunk.
If you think life is empty, then all that’s left is to embrace the burden.
Once you’re tired, then say having is the same as losing,
Coldly asking the world who is he?

I can’t keep going down,
But I can keep being lost.
Why must we cherish our tears?
Let my flesh have the root of love,
Turn around and admit my mistakes.
It’s okay, they’re good mistakes.
